Waiting


I had an excellent evening with a man named Bernt Kuhlmann. Bernt is one of the most enlightened, critical thinkers I’ve met in a long time, and I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation.

At one point, he likened market trading to surfing — something about the most successful traders waiting for the perfect wave, riding it, and then getting off at just the right time without drowning. They know how to spot good waves and they are willing to be patient.

It’s still resonating today. Great stuff…

    Gave TMBTITU up for almost two weeks for spring break. This is the quintessential Einsteinian time dilation; I must be close to the speed of light, because the next 12 days are going to seem like 12 years. I hope she’ll be okay…

    Tonight TMBTITU fell asleep on my chest. No television. No books. Nothing. I just sat there and let it soak into my bones, because I know it won’t last forever. She is truly the most important thing that has ever happened to me. By a very wide margin.
